I created my healing talisman with bindrune that reads 'Krebs'/Cancer in German. I filled it with my medicine plant mistletoe, ivy, rosequarz and anointed it with my self-made wild rose tincture to stay open hearted for healing, love and miracles. The necklace is made out of the three colors white, red and black of the Great Mother who carries me and supports me in yet another initiation.
Here is some information about bindrunes:
Basically, a bindrune, often called a sigil is a 'rune' composed of two or more runes.
The advantages of bindrunes are, on the one hand, practical: a wish in runic script takes up more space than compressing the wish into a single character. On an amulet it takes up much less space than the individual runes from which the bindrune is composed, and an outsider is less likely to guess quickly what it is about. On the other hand, an important moment is that a bindrune has a longer and more powerful effect than the individual runes.
I used the letter bindrune method and there is also the meaning method.
● Letter method
The letter method involves writing down a word or a short sentence in runic script and then combining these runes in a design. In doing so, one should decide whether the draft should still be 'readable back' later, i.e. that the individual runes should still be recognisable, or whether the current combination is too important for such a restriction.
So, in the case of a bindrune used for recovery from an illness, one could take the name of the ailment as the text and write it in runic script. These runes are then written on top of each other and then simplified and stylised into a sign. During the making of this rune, one concentrates maximally on the fact that the sign removes the illness.I have written 'Krebs/Cancer' in Runic script and will wear the talisman close to my heart/breasts, because this is where my tumor is.It feels like an embrace of cancer, the tumor and metastases with unconditional love.
Another, more shamanic technique is to focus concentration and visualisation on the bindrune absorbing the disease from the body during the making.
● Meaning Method
The meaning method is another technique for making a binderune; for this, one selects the individual runes according to their content definition for a specific purpose and makes a bindrune from them. For an ailment, for example, one chooses the runes that affect the corresponding area of the body. These are then transformed back into a bindrune in the manner described and then applied.
Some general remarks on bindrunes:
Before practically beginning to make a bindrune, three important considerations should be made:
1. when should the 'unbinding' take place? If 'one does not build in the possibility of this, there is a danger that the rune will not be able to be unbound later, and thus the effect cannot be stopped or terminated. So consider how long the binding rune should work forever or only for a certain time. As a precaution, one should usually limit the effect of a Bindrun' in time by concentrating on it when making it and imagining that the effect should wear off after x days. Then the rune is burnt to ashes or, if the carrier material is not combustible, broken and crushed and scattered.
2. is there already a bindrune that has something to do with the purpose of the planned one? So you have to consider whether you have already made another binderune that could affect the purpose of the new bindrune, or even change the purpose completely. If this is the case, one must either take into account the effect of the previous bindrune or 'unbind' it first before starting the new one.
3. The form of a bindrune corresponds to its purpose. A balanced design represents stability; a bindrune that radiates artistic balance as a sign also implies greater stability. But if the bindrune is to bring 'activity', then an open, dynamic sign is better. The sign must express its purpose graphically.
